What Makes My Day

Sometimes, it is the smaller things in life that really make a difference. And sometimes, living in a country other than the one in which you've spent the majority of your life, you forget about certain of the little things that used to be part of your daily life, because they're not a part of it anymore.

For me, here is one of those little things:

You don't realize how much you've missed it until you have it. And when you suddenly have it in a 41oz. package - well then, no matter what kind of day you've had up to that point, you're automatically on cloud nine.

Some people understand the power of such little daily treasures.
Some people understand the inherent value in the mundane, the routine tastes and sounds and smells that surround us in life.
Some people understand my dire need for sugar.

Thank you, Mr. Close, for understanding. Thank you for getting me my Starburst fix. It was more than I ever could have asked for.
