One benefit of living in this blasted heat: a popsicle never tasted so good.
Step 1 for making popsicles is choosing your flavor.
We chose the daring combination of maracuyá (passionfruit) and naranjilla (same in English).
The passionfruit, left, you can find already gutted and sold in a bag. But you still have to separate the seeds from the pulp before using it.
The naranjilla must likewise be blended and the seeds removed.
Once that's been done, spoon in some sugar to taste (both of these fruits are very tangy, so we heaped in a bunch - you know, to help the medicine go down) and add potable water to achieve the desired consistency.
This is our fancy-shmancy popsicle mold.
I broke the blue popsicle stick.
We substituted a kazoo.
The Pour.
10 points, +1 for smiling.
Ta-daaaa. Ready for the freezer.
I leave you with our topic for next week's discussion section:
Kazoo-sicles: Marketable or No?
The TA will be handing out free kazoos to those who prepare sales pitch & business plans.
